Auction catlog

As promised yesterday, here are more photos of the Conestoga auction pieces. They did not transfer at all well. The best way to view these is to go to the website and browse the entire aluminum listing and learn more about the colorful Blinko glass that is also included. Individual pieces are not described and each lot contains 3 to 11 or more pieces. I had hoped to include most of their photos but after trying several means of transfer, I found none that gave us a good quality image of the items.

This set includes what appears
to be 2 sizes of tumblers
 and custard cups.

Occasionally the lots are listed by the same motif used by various companies.
These to the left appear to be Wendell August.

All appear to be Buenilum

Lighting devices.

I am truly sorry for the quality of these photos. They are shown to give an idea of the great variety of aluminum wares that will be in the auction. Several bank lamps are shown in the catalog, more colored aluminum that we remember so well, and hundreds of other items.

Go to www.conestogaauction.com  click on the Friday july 15 date under the photograph of glass and aluminum, when that site opens look toward the upper right for "view catalog."

  1. Hi Dannie, You need to get a photo editing site loaded on your computer. It worked wonders for the clarity of the pictures that I reproduced. I like Picasa. Do you have any idea why the Overmeyers decided to sell their collection? Is this part of the collection or the entire? I am just curious..I remember meeting them at one of the aluminum shows in Allentown.

  2. The problem I was running in to was my inability to get the catalog photos into my photo program. I transferred every one only to find that the majority was not accepted. If they had been I could have done a lot of editing. And yes, I have Picasa but haven't investigated all it can do.
Overmeyers are moving to Florida according to the Auction company's info and I have wondered about whether they are keeping part of their collection. I understand part of their collection will be in yet another auction in the future.
I visited your site and intended to leave a comment about the pics and your info in general. Don't know why I left without doing so!!!!

  3. Dannie, I just discovered I can "like" a photo on facebook from the LiveAuctioneers photo on the upper left corner of the item bidding page. The photo will show up on one's facebook wall and a click on it will take anyone to the auction item page , where the larger photos are [[...which, darn it, cannot be downloaded!!]] and the page will show to anyone, whether registered or not. Registration is required to bid [and see the archives].

  6. Thanks for the information Dannie. Good to know that they are well and on their way to Florida. I had so much fun editing the pictures and turning them into mosaics. I have also enjoyed looking at their collection...it is awesome!
