Continental Silver Catalog

Today is a day of experimenting. Three pages from a 1950-51 catalog have been scanned successfully. The next step is to transfer here.

Scanning was reasonably quick and easy––transferring to this post was a slow process. Is it clear enough to be of help? Are the numbers and name of each item readable? You're the judge. A page can be posted occasionally, if you wish.

Whether there were later catalogues is not known. This one includes a line of chrome-plate in addition to the aluminum line. The chrome-plate is rather plain.

It was interesting to note that in the introductory letter of the catalog, their "Silverlook" finish was described as being easily cleaned with "soap and brillo". The "Brillantone" line was described as having "a high polish.....and easily cleaned with any metal polish.

Your comments are needed and always welcome.
